Senior System Application Engineer - Power system control & firmware design AI server

Overview

We’re looking for a power system control & firmware engineer to develop and optimize system power solutions for AI Data center applications. The role involves working closely with system application engineers, field application engineers, and customers to design firmware for AC/DC and DC/DC power converters, support prototype board development, and provide technical support and training.

• Work with power system application engineers to develop system power solutions focusing on digital control loops and firmware design for AC/DC and DC/DC power converters in AI data center and telecom applications.
• Develop digital power control algorithms and implement real‑time control firmware.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on system integration and validation tests of digital power system reference designs per customer specifications.
• Provide detailed technical support to customers to resolve system application problems requiring firmware changes.
• Generate test reports and application design guides/manufacturers for firmware used in power converters.
• Develop technical training documents and conduct training/seminars for field application engineers and customers.

• MS in Electrical Engineering with minimum 6 years experience, or BS in EE with minimum 8 years experience in digital control and firmware design of power converters.
• Strong knowledge of ARM processors or DSPs for various power applications.
• Proficient in C, C++, Assembly language, Python, etc.
• Hands‑on experience in firmware design for AC/DC power supply and DC/DC converters.
• Excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
• Well‑organized, self‑driven, can work effectively independently or in a team.

San Jose, CA – Minimum $155,000 base salary per year / Maximum $213,200 base salary per year.
El Segundo, CA – Minimum $135,900 base salary per year / Maximum $186,000 base salary per year.
All employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
