itD is seeking an RF Integration Engineer to support the bring‑up, simulation, integration, validation, and optimization of next‑generation antenna and radio designs. This role plays a critical part in ensuring wireless/RF subsystem performance meets quality and reliability standards while improving testing efficiency through automation.
Location: 100% onsite in San Jose, CA
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $27 - $27.69 per hour

Responsibilities- Assist with the bring‑up, integration, simulation, and validation of RF and antenna designs throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Test and evaluate wireless/RF subsystem performance against established design specifications and quality metrics.
- Develop and maintain automated test solutions using Python, MATLAB, C++, LabVIEW, or similar tools to improve testing efficiency and repeatability.
- Operate and troubleshoot RF test and measurement equipment, including network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, vector signal analyzers/generators, power meters, traffic generators, and wireless sniffers.
- Generate detailed test reports, analyze performance data, and present findings and recommendations to engineering and cross‑functional teams.
- Collaborate with Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain, and Compliance teams to support product development and validation efforts.
- Support wireless certification activities, test plan development, and performance verification for wireless technologies and RF subsystems.
- Utilize simulation and design tools to evaluate RF performance and support design optimization activities.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required;
Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. - Minimum 3+ years of experience in hardware product development, RF testing, and validation.
- Proficiency with automation and software development tools, including Python, C++, MATLAB, and/or LabVIEW.
- Hands‑on experience using RF and microwave test equipment, including power meters, vector signal analyzers and generators, traffic generators, wireless sniffers.
- Strong understanding of wireless architectures, including radio front ends, antennas, amplifiers, RF switches, filters, and couplers operating from 450 MHz to 7125 MHz.
- Knowledge of wireless networking concepts, path loss models, channel models, and traffic generation methodologies.
- Familiarity with RF simulation and design tools such as ADS, CST, HFSS, and schematic/layout tools such as Cadence, or demonstrated willingness and ability to learn.
- Working knowledge of digital and analog electronics and hardware product development life cycles.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and technical communication skills.
- Experience with wireless technologies including WLAN, Bluetooth/BLE, LTE, 5G FR1, and WPAN.
- Experience developing test plans and supporting global wireless certification processes.
- Experience collaborating with Radio Compliance, RF Design, Hardware Engineering, and cross‑functional development teams.
- Ability to perform component‑level rework, including 0402 SMT components, and use soldering equipment.
- Experience navigating and manipulating ECAD (PCB/Layout) and MCAD (.stp) files.
- Familiarity with antenna performance characterization and RF system integration activities.
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required;
Master’s degree (MSEE) preferred.
