About Chip Agents
Chip Agents is revolutionizing chip design and verification with agentic-AI workflows. Founded by experts in AI and semiconductor design, we partner with top-10 semiconductor companies, hyperscale cloud providers, and cutting-edge startups. Our platform accelerates RTL development, functional verification, and simulation—unlocking new levels of productivity and design quality.
Role OverviewAs an Applications Engineer (AE) you will be the primary technical contact for enterprise customers evaluating and deploying Chip Agents. You'll guide pre-sales benchmarks, proof-of-concepts, and production roll-outs; deliver training and best-practice guidance; and channel customer insights back to our product and R&D teams. Success in this role means shortening customers' time-to-value and establishing Chip Agents as an essential part of their EDA flow.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-Sales Enablement:
Lead technical discovery, product demos, and benchmarks. Quantify ROI through well-scoped POCs and present results to stakeholders. - Deployment & Support:
Integrate Chip Agents with existing RTL design, simulation, and verification workflows (e.g., Synopsys VCS, Cadence Xcelium, Siemens Questa). Troubleshoot issues, provide root‑cause analysis, and ensure production readiness. Deliver on‑site/remote training sessions and create onboarding materials. - Customer Success:
Serve as a trusted advisor who translates customer goals into concrete deployment plans. Track usage metrics and adoption milestones to drive renewals and expansion. - Product Feedback Loop:
Consolidate field feedback into clear feature requests and bug reports. Collaborate with product and engineering to prioritize roadmap items. - Technical Collateral:
Develop application notes, reference flows, and best‑practice guides that scale across accounts. - Market Engagement:
Represent Chip Agents at industry events, webinars, and user group meetings.
- Education:
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field. - EDA Expertise:
Hands‑on experience in RTL design, functional verification, or EDA application engineering; strong command of Verilog/System Verilog and common verification methodologies (UVM, lint, CDC). - AI/ML Interest:
Familiarity with or curiosity about AI‑driven automation in design/verification is highly desirable. - Customer‑Facing
Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and problem‑solving abilities; proven record of supporting or selling to enterprise engineering teams. - Self‑Starter:
Comfort operating in a fast‑moving startup environment with minimal supervision. - Bonus Points:
Python, Tcl, or shell scripting; prior experience with cloud or on‑prem compute clusters; exposure to formal verification or hardware emulation.
- Impact:
Help shape the adoption of AI in semiconductor design and verification. - Customers:
Work directly with industry leaders designing next‑generation chips. - Growth:
Broaden your expertise across AI, EDA, and customer success while influencing our product roadmap.
- $130K/yr – $350K/yr + Offers Equity. We are open to discuss above‑scale compensation with exceptional candidates on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Unlimited PTO and full benefits (medical, vision, dental, 401k).
