Job Overview
Work in a high‑speed, high‑performance analog/mixed signal design team to validate and characterize IPs. You will create verification test benches, lab test scripts, automated test flows, and documentation, and work closely with design and system teams.
Responsibilities- Use verification test benches and create lab test scripts to ensure results match expectations.
- Create lab test scripts to configure DUT/EVB, make measurements using lab instruments, and output the results.
- Create an automated lab flow enabling 24/7 testing and characterization of IP test chips and ASIC products.
- Work with the design team to produce test validation documentation, including specifications, test procedures, results, and maintain uploads to the file server.
- Review package and PCB designs to support package and EVB design/manufacturing for test chips and product chips.
- Debug and characterize mixed‑signal IP test chips and ASICs in collaboration with the design team.
- Write and support design engineers in creating test scripts for measurements.
- Travel to other INFN ASIC locations if necessary to support testing activities.
- Interact with system teams to validate ASIC performance in system.
- Good understanding of lab test equipment and common clocking devices such as oscillators, oscilloscopes, network analyzers, phase noise analyzers, power supplies, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
- Familiar with PCB design issues and impact on high‑performance mixed‑signal ASIC/test chip performance; able to review layouts and suggest workarounds.
- Strong programming skills in Perl, LabVIEW, Python, or MATLAB to facilitate characterization and debugging.
- Knowledge of analog/mixed‑signal circuit design.
- Understanding of PCB‑level design and debugging.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills.
- Team player.
- Basic knowledge of reliability (HTOL, ESD) testing flows and willingness to work with third parties.
- Experience interfacing with third‑party testing houses regarding wafer sort and final ATE.
- M.S. with 2–3 years of experience or fresh Ph.D. in EE, Physics, or related fields.
