The Product Management team is a multidisciplinary group of engineers and strategists who translate Quantum Scape’s groundbreaking solid‑state battery technology into differentiated products that meet real customer and market needs. We partner closely with R&D, Engineering, Business Development, and Marketing to define product requirements, prioritize features, and ensure seamless alignment from concept through commercialization.

• Own the product strategy and requirements framework for one or more key market segments, driving the development and governance of Market Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) across the Quantum Scape portfolio.
• Set the bar for quality, rigor, and cross‑functional alignment on product specifications, serving as the organizational authority on technical product requirements across lithium‑ion and next‑generation energy storage technologies.
• Drive strategic alignment across Product, R&D, Engineering, and Business Development at a senior level, resolving cross‑functional ambiguity and unblocking decisions to build toward the right outcomes.
• Own and lead the development of Quantum Scape's product roadmap for assigned segments, integrating technology maturation, customer needs, and market opportunities into a coherent, prioritized strategy.
• Operate with significant autonomy to determine relative priorities and lead cross‑team collaboration.
• Serve as a key liaison between Product, R&D, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
• Maintain a data‑driven approach, applying scientific programming (e.g., Python) and statistical methods to analyze large datasets for product decision support.
• Use PLM systems to manage product lifecycle and ensure clear documentation.

• 4+ years of product management experience, preferably in the lithium‑ion industry or a related field.
• Background in engineering, engineering management, engineering operations, or a related business field is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of current lithium‑ion technology, performance capability, and the competitive landscape.
• Experience with application‑specific performance requirements and market opportunities.
• Proficiency in scientific programming (Python) and statistical analysis of large datasets.
• Experience with PLM systems.

• In‑person, face‑to‑face interaction is essential; the role requires on‑site engagement with R&D and manufacturing operations.
