How will you make an impact?
This position designs the process for any product, analyzes and solves process-related issues, aligns the quote versus the actual defined process, and ensures all technical requirements regarding solderability and testing are properly implemented for each product. Additionally, it requires strong knowledge in SMT equipment programming, optimization, and troubleshooting to improve production efficiency and reduce downtime. The role also drives continuous improvement initiatives, while maintaining effective cross‑functional communication with design, quality, and production teams to ensure a smooth product introduction and stable manufacturing processes.
Whatwill you do?
- Develop, implement, and optimize SMT manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality.
- Analyze and troubleshoot process issues related to solderability, component placement, and reflow profiles.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by defining process flows, validating tooling, and ensuring readiness for production.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including design, quality, and production to resolve issues and improve manufacturability.
- Perform root cause analysis, DOEs and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process deviations.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and internal quality requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to production personnel to sustain process performance.
Education
- Bachelor degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least Five years prior work experience in SMT Equipment and Programming
- Strong knowledge of SMT processes, including solder paste printing, pick‑and‑place, reflow soldering, and inspection (SPI, AOI, X‑ray).
- Understanding of solderability standards, IPC requirements (IPC‑A‑610), and electronic assembly best practices.
- Experience with SMT equipment programming, setup, optimization, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to analyze process data and apply statistical tools for process control and improvement.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methodologies (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and implementation of corrective actions.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of PCB design, component specifications, and manufacturing documentation (BOMs, drawings, work instructions).
- 8+ years of experience in SMT Equipment and Programming is preferred.
- Manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or other technical field is preferred.
