Responsibilities

  • Assess current and future technology requirements to identify design and process improvement opportunities within Micron.
  • Perform decision analysis and feasibility studies on proposed projects and tasks.
  • Define design requirements considering end user needs, statutory requirements, and business needs.
  • Assess workload and resources required, and work with a cross‑functional team to plan and execute project deliverables.
  • Perform design and development work to meet project or task requirements.
  • Help define manufacturing and engineering support solutions.
  • Plan, build, and refine prototype designs including test and verification.
  • Document and control designs.
  • Support prototype qualification by the customer including deployment, design changes, and issue resolution.
  • Manage engineering changes using version control processes and support released designs for issues or additional requests.
  • Position Requirements
  • Develop and verify electronics for use in semiconductor test equipment.
  • Design PCBs and electronic systems, overseeing board layout and artwork.
  • Design digital circuits and logic such as FPGAs, communication buses like PCIe Express, and memory interfaces such as DDR.
  • Conduct power supply subsystem design and analog circuit design.
  • Perform signal and power integrity analysis and simulation using tools such as Hyper Lynx.
  • Work with manufacturing and NPI teams to ensure compliance with DFM and DFT requirements.
  • Debug and analyze electronics using oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, probes, and logic analyzers.
  • Design, develop, and build SSD test equipment.
  • Perform design of experiments and write reports related to SSD test equipment based on PCIe protocols.
  • Operate SSD test equipment, including debugging, assembly, and operation.
  • Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in electronics design for semiconductor test equipment or a related occupation.
    • Experience designing PCBs, digital circuits, FPGAs, PCIe Express, and DDR memory interfaces.
    • Experience with power supply subsystem design and analog circuit design.
    • Signal and power integrity analysis and simulation experience using Hyper Lynx or similar tools.
    • Knowledge of DFM and DFT requirements and experience working with manufacturing and NPI teams.
    • Debugging skills with oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, probes, and logic analyzers.
    • Experience designing, developing, and building SSD test equipment.
    • Ability to perform design of experiments and write reports for SSD test equipment based on PCIe protocols.
    • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
    • Self‑motivated, detail oriented, and capable of managing engineering changes.
