Join a growing engineering practice delivering complex rail, transit, and infrastructure projects across California and the U.S. As a Project Engineer based in our San Jose office, you'll play a key role in producing high‑quality electrical designs and calculations that directly contribute to critical infrastructure. - Work on technically interesting electrical engineering projects across rail, transit, and facilities
- Be part of a collaborative, supportive engineering team in our San Jose practice
- Develop hands‑on experience with industry‑leading tools including ETAP and AGi
32 - Access career development, training, and tuition reimbursement support
- Work in a flexible environment that values both teamwork and independent contribution
- Produce electrical calculations and designs in accordance with NEC, NFPA 70E, NESC, local codes, and design criteria manuals
- Perform voltage drop, lighting, motor starting, conduit, and wire sizing calculations
- Prepare lighting simulations using AGi
32 - Prepare ETAP power system studies
- Prepare markups for electrical drawings and draft technical reports
- Review shop drawings and product data sheets
- Prepare spreadsheets and PowerPoint presentations as required
- Read, interpret, and implement requirements from manuals and electrical specifications
- Participate in weekly project team meetings, both in-person and via Teams
- Work independently or as part of a team to meet project deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‑accredited U.S. program (required)
- NCEES Engineer‑in‑Training (EIT) certification, or ability to obtain within one year of hire
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management
- Motivated, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively
- Prior experience with ETAP or Autodesk software
- Familiarity with AGi
