Commissioning Agent – The P2S commissioning team is a rapidly growing group focused on delivering high‑performance building systems across the built environment. We are seeking a competent professional with strong technical expertise and a hands‑on approach to evaluating and optimizing building system performance.

• Salary Range: $110,000 - $140,000 (dependent on experience)
• Location: San Jose, CA

• Perform design reviews of drawings, specifications, and submittals to ensure alignment with Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and Basis of Design (BOD).
• Develop commissioning plans, pre‑functional checklists, and functional performance test procedures.
• Identify, document, and track issues throughout all project phases and support resolution.
• Execute and oversee functional performance testing of building systems.
• Lead commissioning coordination meetings with Owners, Engineers, General Contractors, Sub‑Contractors, and Facilities Personnel.
• Prepare clear, organized reports summarizing project progress, test results, and system performance.
• Support owner training and documentation of systems and operations.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• CxA (ACG) or CCP (BCA) or BCxP (ASHRAE).
• Project management experience.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 30%.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design for commercial buildings.
• Working knowledge of HVAC (airside and water side), Central Utility Plants, Plumbing/Piping, Electrical systems (power and lighting), Fire protection, Controls and instrumentation.

• Commissioning and retro‑commissioning experience.
• Building envelope commissioning experience.
• Experience working within a consulting engineering environment.
• Strong client‑facing experience.

• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
• Highly organized and detail‑oriented.
• Self‑motivated with a proactive approach.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Familiarity with testing equipment, data loggers, and commissioning tools.
