The roleIn this role, you will drive the verification of new and existing features for AMD’s FPGA devices, ensuring functional correctness and high‑quality silicon. You will plan, develop, and execute comprehensive verification strategies across complex digital subsystems, working closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to deliver robust, bug‑free designs.

Key responsibilities- Collaborate with architects, hardware engineers, and firmware engineers to understand new features to be verified.
- Build test plan documentation, accounting for interactions with other features, hardware, firmware, and software driver use cases.
- Estimate the time required to write new feature tests and any required changes to the test environment.
- Build directed and random verification tests.
- Debug test failures to determine the root cause; work with RTL and firmware engineers to resolve design defects and correct any test issues.
- Review functional and code coverage metrics—modify or add tests or constrain random tests to meet the coverage requirements.
- Strong experience debugging firmware and RTL using simulation tools.
- Experience developing and working with UVM‑based verification environments.
- Proficiency in System Verilog, Verilog, C, and C++.
- Scripting experience with Python or similar automation languages.
- Developing UVM based verification frameworks and test benches, processes and flows.
- Automating workflows in a distributed compute environment.
- Exposure to simulation profile, efficiency improvement, acceleration, HLS tools/process.
- Good understanding and hands‑on experience in the UVM concepts and System Verilog language.
- Good working knowledge of SystemC and TLM with some related experience.
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering / Electrical Engineering.
