Opportunity Overview
The Facilities Department is seeking a Facilities Mechanical Engineer to support Teradyne U.S. offices in the areas of building systems design and upgrade, operational continuity, project management, safety compliance, and efficiency optimization. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for providing technical expertise in the above areas to ensure safe and efficient building operation. Key building systems under their oversight include Building Envelope, Structural, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection, Electrical and Lighting, Building Automation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Support and contribute to production test methodologies and software structure for PV/DV programs
- Evaluate hardware performance, including HW/SW integration, hardware debug, statistical analysis, and definition of production test limits
- Lead and mentor engineering teams in a project management environment
- Perform field failure and return analysis using available test, manufacturing, and customer data
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to meet quality, reliability, and yield goals
- Interface with Hardware Design, Software Design, Manufacturing Engineering, and internal/external partners (including subcontractors) to achieve program objectives
- Conduct product performance and reliability analysis
- Perform system‑level, module‑level, and component‑level troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- 5–8 years of relevant industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Demonstrated leadership experience as a project lead or technical team lead
- Strong knowledge of digital circuit design and debug, including precision measurement methods for functional characterization
- Working knowledge of analog and digital circuits with hands‑on experience in component‑level PCB debug
- Strong data analysis skills, including statistical analysis and interpretation
- Ability to oversee multi‑disciplinary development teams
- System‑level knowledge of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is highly preferred
- Experience with electronic circuit diagnostics, production test development, and failure analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical engineering concepts is a plus

CompensationThe base salary range for this role is $ - $. This range is a good faith estimate, and the amount of base salary will correspond with experience and skill set. This range can also fluctuate depending on demand and location.
Incentive PlanThis job is eligible for discretionary bonus(es) based on financial performance.
