System​/Field Application Engineer

Overview

Our ASIC engineering team focuses on silicon design, bring‑up, and validation, ensuring reliable integration of high‑speed interfaces and close collaboration with firmware, system, and customers to enable successful product deployment. We are seeking a System Application Engineer / FAE to support customer system bring‑up, validation, and issue debugging across hardware, firmware, and SDK layers. This role works closely with customers and internal teams to validate system hardware and PCB functionality, integrate FW/SDK, and ensure reliable operation across interfaces such as HBM, PCIe, Ser Des, and UCIe.

• Support customer system bring‑up, including hardware, firmware, and SDK integration.
• Assist with system validation, lab testing, and post‑silicon characterization.
• Collect and analyze lab data to evaluate system robustness and operating margins.
• Perform basic HSIO testing (signal integrity checks, eye diagrams, BER).
• Help debug customer issues across HW/FW/SDK boundaries and support root‑cause analysis.
• Work with firmware teams to validate features, configurations, and system behavior.
• Document issues and validation results clearly and concisely.
• Collaborate with design, firmware, validation, and marketing teams to support customers.

• Required Qualifications
• 1–5 years of experience in system validation, hardware bring‑up, or technical customer support.
• Basic understanding of system hardware and firmware interaction.
• Familiarity with high‑speed interfaces and protocols such as PCIe, Ser Des, I2C, and JTAG.
• Experience working with firmware or SDKs for system configuration, debug, or validation.
• Hands‑on experience with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies).
• Good communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Exposure to HBM, UCIe, or other high‑speed memory/interconnect technologies.
• Basic knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity.
• Experience debugging issues involving drivers, firmware, or SDK APIs.
• Scripting or data analysis experience (Python, MATLAB).
• Prior experience in a System Application Engineer or FAE role.

Salary range: $116,000 - $203,000 annually.

Employee may be eligible for performance bonus, short and long term incentive programs. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.
