Reliability Testing Technician
Schedule:
10:00 AM – 6:00 PM Pay Rate: $28 – $38/hour
Cal Tek Staffing is partnering with an innovative technology company at the forefront of advanced thermal solutions used in data centers, consumer electronics, and next-generation computing systems. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with cutting-edge hardware in a lab environment supporting real-world product reliability and performance.
What You'll Be DoingAs a Reliability Testing Technician, you'll play a key role in ensuring product performance, durability, and quality by executing and supporting a wide range of environmental and mechanical tests.
- Set up and operate reliability testing equipment (thermal chambers, humidity chambers, pressure cycling systems, etc.)
- Execute test plans based on engineering specifications
- Monitor tests and ensure accurate, safe operation
- Collect and document test data, conditions, and results
- Troubleshoot test setups, fixtures, and instrumentation
- Support failure analysis by documenting and collecting failed samples
- Assist engineers in improving test procedures and processes
- Maintain lab equipment and support preventative maintenance
- Ensure compliance with lab safety standards and protocols
Required:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in:
- Reliability testing
- Environmental testing
- Lab technician roles
- Experience working with environmental chambers or similar test equipment
- Ability to read engineering drawings and follow test procedures
- Basic understanding of instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Experience with thermal cycling, humidity, or mechanical stress testing
- Familiarity with failure analysis and documentation
- Experience with data acquisition tools/software
- Strong troubleshooting skills in a lab environment
- Work with cutting-edge thermal and hardware technology
- Hands-on lab environment (not a desk job)
