As a Plumbing Project Manager
, you will have the opportunity to leverage your expertise to coordinate and oversee the planning, procurement, and execution of commercial plumbing projects. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of SVM by managing projects with budgets ranging from $200k to $12M alongside 3-4 proposals in the pipeline. You will play a crucial role in fostering robust connections to both retain existing clients and create opportunities for new projects.

What

you will do
  • Manage multiple plumbing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to project scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate resources, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor work progress, assess systems, enforce safety regulations, address any project challenges and ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Compile project submittals from appropriate vendors, ensuring correct pricing, delivery dates, and other specifications are met.
  • Collaborate with field personnel onsite as required to review design modifications, address change orders, and engage in proactive problem-solving.
  • Manage and complete Requests for Information (RFIs), submittals, change order requests, purchase orders, and other essential documentation necessary for the seamless execution of projects.
  • Maintain, update, and organize all project documentation, ensuring a smooth turnover to the field team.
  • Maintain the plumbing procurement log, tracking and overseeing the acquisition of materials and equipment for assigned projects.
  • Consolidate drawing sets and submittal changes for assigned projects.
  • Assist the Project Executive (PX) with Work in Progress (WIP) reports to ensure accurate tracking of project financials.
  • Scan and print plans for assigned job.
  • Attend scheduled project meetings with or without the PX.
  • Perform estimating duties for assigned projects, contributing to the accurate assessment of project costs.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering team, creating Bluebeam markups as needed to support project requests.
  • Contribute to the overall success of projects by assisting with various duties as needed.
Education, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or related field required
    .
  • 5-7 years of experience as a Plumbing Project Manager or similar role at a Mechanical Contractor required
    .
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting CA plumbing, mechanical, fire, and building codes highly preferred
    .
  • Proven expertise and comprehensive knowledge in designing plumbing and process piping systems within diverse industries required
    .
  • Proven experience leading and developing small teams required
    .
  • Proven ability to manage a diverse range of project budgets a must
    .
  • Highly skilled in building relationships with customers a must
    .
  • Outstanding ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written a must
    .
  • Demonstrates proficiency using fastPIPE estimating software highly preferred
    .
  • Possesses a valid California’s Driver’s License and willing to submit to a DMV report a must
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook), AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam highly preferred
    .
Compensation & Company Benefits Include

This is a full-time exempt position. The compensation for this role is $165,000 - $185,000 annually and is based on experience and skillset.
