• Environmental Compliance:
  Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations applicable to the air and ground ambulance industry.
• Regulatory Liaison:
  Serves as the primary point of contact for environmental regulatory agencies, maintaining awareness of changes in regulations and facilitating communication with relevant stakeholders.
• Environmental Audits:
  Conduct regular environmental audits to assess compliance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions in collaboration with local operations leadership and teams.
• Waste Management:
  Develop and oversee waste management programs, including hazardous waste disposal.
• Spill Response Planning:
  Develop and maintain spill response plans for both air and ground operations, ensuring timely and effective response to minimize environmental impact.
• Environmental Training:
  Provide training to employees on environmental policies, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility.
• Environmental Risk Assessments:
  Coordinate environmental impact assessments for new projects, operations, or changes to existing processes, ensuring potential environmental risks are identified and mitigated.
• Reporting:
  Prepare and submit required environmental reports to regulatory agencies, stakeholders, and internal management. This includes engaging legal for "Notices of Violation" when they occur.
• Position requires some travel within the United States (up to 50%).

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
• Several years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the air and ground medical transportation industry.
• In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, including those specific to aviation and emergency medical services.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Certifications in environmental management (e.g., CEM, CHMM) are a plus.
• Strong knowledge and utilization of Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with CERS and SMARTS CA specific web-based environmental solutions.
