Job Summary

1. Manipulation of existing 3D models and meshes both programmatically (including reduction of vertex count and decomposition into convex parts) and using ad hoc software (Blender, Mesh Lab, 3D studio, Mesh Mixer) so they are better suited for simulation.

2. CAD design and manufacture (with 3D printing or traditional manufacturing processes) various 3D objects for robot's interaction.

3. Modify rendering parameters of simulated scenes

4. Creation of insightful visual representations for debugging and publication. An example could be coupling the colours of simulated objects with the forces being applied to them (from real or simulated sensors), in a way that helps clarify what is happening.

Key Responsibilities

Optional CAD Technical Artistry Services with Mu Jo Co  specialization

1. Debug and enhance realism of assets used in a physics simulator e.g. Bullet, PhysX, Mu Jo Co  - strong preference for Mu Jo Co  physics. This includes contact friction and softness parameters, body masses and inertias, joint damping, etc.

2. Design and debug realistic articulated models (for example biomechanical models and robotics hands), that include force propagation through tendons.
