Senior Electrical Engineer

Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer at the Santa Clara Valley Water District (Valley Water) to support critical water utility infrastructure as a subject matter expert. The role provides hands-on electrical engineering expertise to troubleshoot, design, and deliver complex projects that impact water treatment and delivery systems. The position contributes to high-priority initiatives such as major electrical upgrades at the Penitencia and Santa Teresa water treatment plants and other improvement projects, with a focus on reliable, safe, and efficient system performance in a continuous operations environment.

• Provide electrical engineering expertise to troubleshoot, design, and deliver complex projects for water treatment and delivery systems.
• Support high-priority electrical upgrades at water treatment facilities, including Penitencia and Santa Teresa plants, and large-scale Rinconada Reliability projects.
• Collaborate across departments and with external agencies to ensure reliable and safe electrical system performance in a live operations environment.
• Contribute to advancing reliable water systems through electrical infrastructure engineering.

Annual salary range: $ – $ DOE/DOQ. Includes a highly competitive benefits package.
