Job Title

Join a leading construction company in San Jose, CA, known for its innovative and high-profile projects. Work on building a replacement hospital and central plant, with a team focused on delivering exceptional results. Responsibilities

Coordinate project activities with design consultants and subcontractors to select and install the best equipment.

Utilize software tools such as Revizto, vPlanner, Procore, and Primavera to manage project work.

Review, interpret, and evaluate the scope of work in project documents accurately.

Evaluate schedules and plans to determine material procurement and installation timelines.

Provide updated procurement information weekly to the project scheduler.

Create and maintain spreadsheets for material, installation, and procurement logs.

Facilitate 3D CAD coordination meetings and ensure timely processing of information to meet schedules.

Enter RFIs into Procore and track progress.

Prepare submittal packages for submission to architects/engineers.

Prepare transmittals through Procore.

Evaluate changes and subcontractor change order estimates related to mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression work.

Verify subcontractor change order requests for accuracy and consistency.

Maintain knowledge of mechanical, plumbing, fire suppression codes, life safety codes, and local requirements.

Conduct daily job walks to ensure the accuracy and quality of system installations.

Enforce the QA/QC program for mechanical, plumbing, and fire suppression systems.

Demonstrate technical knowledge of the construction industry and cost-estimating methods.

Apply knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in the construction field.

Develop and nurture subcontractor/vendor relationships.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, Construction Management, or technical training preferred. A combination of education and work experience will also be considered.

Minimum ten (10) years of experience in the field or a related area preferred.

Strong written and oral communication skills and team skills.

Ability to work independently with a keen interest in learning and applying new skills and abilities.

Dependable, consistent, diligent, and thorough.

Creative and resourceful in completing tasks accurately within a compressed timeframe.

Intermediate knowledge of Windows Operating Systems.

Intermediate skill level with MS Excel 2000, MS Word 2000, and MS Outlook.

Intermediate skill with Procore.
