Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a hands‑on Testbed Technician to support the build, configuration, maintenance, and operation of Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HITL) test environments used to develop and validate spacecraft systems. This individual will play a critical role in building and maintaining the hardware environments used by engineering teams to test spacecraft avionics, software, and ground system interfaces. The ideal candidate enjoys working across electrical and mechanical disciplines, is comfortable reading block diagrams and hardware documentation, and thrives in a fast‑paced development environment where adaptability and problem‑solving are key.
This position is approximately 60% electrical and 40% mechanical and involves supporting multiple active testbeds concurrently.

- 3+ years of experience in a technical laboratory, integration, manufacturing, datacenter, aerospace, robotics, defense, automotive, or similar hardware‑focused environment
- Experience assembling and configuring computer hardware, server racks, or technical equipment
- Ability to read and interpret block diagrams, wiring schematics, hardware documentation and assembly instructions
- Experience supporting inventory management processes and asset tracking
- Familiarity with Linux operating systems and command‑line environments
- Experience supporting Hardware‑In‑The‑Loop (HITL) test environments
- Aerospace, satellite, avionics, robotics, defense, or automotive industry experience
- Datacenter infrastructure experience
- Experience with network switches, rack infrastructure, power distribution systems and/or server hardware
- Harness fabrication, modification, or rework experience
- Experience supporting electronic or avionics testing environments
- Familiarity with hardware asset management systems
- Experience in prototype or R&D environments
