Position Summary:
The Plasma Spray / HVOF Technician or Engineer supports thermal spray operations for aerospace components, with responsibility for process setup, execution support, quality compliance, and process improvement. This role may be filled at technician or engineer level depending on candidate experience and operational need.
Position Responsibilities:
- Support plasma spray and/or HVOF coating operations in accordance with process specifications and quality requirements
- Assist with setup, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of thermal spray processes
- Ensure coating application parameters are controlled and documented appropriately
- Work with engineering and quality teams on process qualification, repairs, and production support
- Contribute to safe, compliant, and efficient operation of specialized coating equipment and related processes
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Diploma / Engineering in mechanical or production or manufacturing with engineer-level background relevant to thermal spray operations
- Hands-on experience with plasma spray, HVOF, or related thermal spray technologies
- Understanding of process control, coating application methods, and production support in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to troubleshoot process issues and support shop floor execution; familiarity with technical documentation and quality-driven operations
- Aerospace MRO or aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience supporting process qualification and special process environments
