The Resident Engineer plans and assigns work for field personnel while overseeing construction processes and materials testing. They resolve disputes between clients and contractors and lead construction meetings to ensure project objectives are met.
RequirementsCandidates must have a bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field and a Professional Engineer (PE) license in California. A minimum of 12 years of relevant experience is required, including at least 5 years on Caltrans highway improvement projects.
