Role:
System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineers Location
- San Jose, CA - Onsite Long Term Contract Role
System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineers to support the design, verification, and qualification of next‑generation computing platforms, including datacenter systems and FPGA‑based platforms.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe System & Hardware Validation and DVT Engineer is responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of client's hardware and systems through Design Verification Testing (DVT). This role bridges design and validation, ensuring products meet specifications before moving to production
- Drive EVT → DVT → PVT transitions, ensuring smooth progression from engineering to production.
- Perform system bring‑up and debug to resolve functional and integration issues.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with design, validation, manufacturing, and test teams.
- Develop and maintain test scripts/tools to improve testing efficiency and accuracy .
- Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on results and issues .
- Troubleshoot and debug hardware and system issues, working with design engineers to find solutions.
- Mentor junior team members on testing processes and procedures .
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Bachelor’s/Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 6-10 years of experience in hardware validation and DVT testing for computer systems.
- Strong knowledge of industry standard validation and DVT methodologies
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment with a focus on problem‑solving and attention to detail
- Experience in high-speed hardware validation, specifically in electrical device validation tests (EDVT).
- Strong expertise in PCBA testing, signal integrity measurements, power consumption measurement, and system-level validation (ESD, thermal, functional).
- Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, power meters, Traffic Generators (IXIA/Key Sight, VIAVI/JDSU) and environmental chambers.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in hardware validation and testing.
