** Materials Process Engineer
**** Key Responsibilities
*** Develop chemical processes for battery active materials to meet application, product, and customer requirements.
* Collaborate with engineers and technicians to operate production-scale tools.
* Champion process improvements and partner with external vendors on custom equipment when off-the-shelf solutions don't exist.
* Analyze material characterization data and apply Statistical Process Control to troubleshoot out-of-spec lots.
* Build coin cells to quantify electrochemical performance of R&D materials.
* Own preventive maintenance planning, spare parts strategy, and equipment health monitoring.
* Follow all safety procedures and wear required protective equipment at all times.
** Qualifications
* ** Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry (electrical), materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering) AND 3+ years of experience in a relevant field OR Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., chemistry (electrical), materials science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and chemical engineering) AND 1+ year of experience in a relevant field
* Hands-on experience installing, testing, and troubleshooting industrial production equipment.
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Familiarity with powder mixing, slurry, or coating processes.
* Familiarity with electrochemical testing techniques to screen new materials.
** Physical Requirements
*** Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
* Be able to work in a lab standing up to 8 hours each day.
