The Conversion Lead will be responsible for assisting in overseeing and managing the transformation of our multi-purpose arena to accommodate a variety of events, including hockey games, concerts, and special events. This role requires a hands-on leader with exceptional organizational skills, the ability to manage a team effectively, and a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. The Conversion Lead will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and timely transitions between events, contributing to the overall success of our venue operations.

• Lead the team/vendors on overnight conversion needs for timely and accurate event setup.
• Delegate workload to staff and keep them updated on changes.
• Act as a lead on load-ins/outs to ensure event requirements are met.
• Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events, including setting up and tearing down of flooring, portable chairs, operable walls, barricades, staging, tables, and other furnishing and equipment.
• Operate heavy equipment (Forklift) under OSHA specifications.
• Maintain a safe work environment, ensuring staff is well informed on event schedules and work orders.
• Report irregularities, discrepancies, damage, and loss of property and safety concerns promptly following reporting procedures.
• Execute work orders to ensure event and venue needs are met in a timely and accurate manner.
• Participate in leading teams for building maintenance and cleanup as required.
• Quickly and effectively address any issues or challenges that arise during conversions, implementing solutions to minimize disruptions.

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to event setup and conversion.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to give clear instructions and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience in event setup, venue conversion, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to work unusual hours at times based on the event schedule and the requirements of the event. This includes evenings, weekends, late nights, early mornings, and holidays.
