Summary:
This role establishes overall strategy for risk management, influences executive-level decisions through strategic risk assessments, partners with stakeholders to implement risk reduction strategies, monitors risk exposure, and leads initiatives for long-term sustainability and resilience.
- Establish overall business or technical risk‑management strategy with significant impact on operations.
- Influence executive decision‑making through strategic risk assessments and recommendations.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement strategies that reduce or transfer identified risks.
- Monitor and analyze risk exposure to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Lead initiatives that contribute to long‑term sustainability and resilience amid uncertainty.
- Foster close relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders and work collaboratively to enable compliant, customer‑centric solutions.
- Define compliance requirements and ensure integration into product development life cycles and roadmaps.
- Provide subject‑matter expertise on identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing compliance risk.
- Partner with business teams to develop process and control improvements.
- Collaborate on assessment of compliance risks associated with new products and services.
- Support intake and review of product initiatives to ensure risk mitigation and regulatory compliance.
- Support ongoing compliance monitoring and testing by regulators, internal audit, and test teams.
- Identify and influence actions to address increased compliance risk and propose solutions.
- Present emerging risks, trends, and regulatory changes to senior leadership.
- Escalate timely and actionable information to key stakeholders.
- 10+ years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in relevant fields such as financial technology, payment compliance, systems, financial regulation, or related domains.
- Proven track record of driving positive outcomes between compliance and business leaders.
- Excellent project‑management skills and the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with intellectual and interpersonal agility.
- Ability to inspire, foster an inclusive and diverse culture, and build relationships with stakeholders.
- Effective communication of complex matters in a clear, simple manner.
- Experience partnering with senior business stakeholders in rapidly evolving contexts.
- Capability to analyze risks in complex processes and recommend effective controls.
