The Sr. General Accountant is responsible for developing, interpreting and implementing financial concepts for accounting. Key contact and support for all financial aspects but cost accounting for one company code. Supports the Company’s monthly accounting for accruals and related reconciliations and is a key participant in the accounting close process. Performs analysis of transactions in clearing accounts and executes the actions required to keep them current.

Provides ad-hoc assistance with year-end financial reporting and various types of tax reporting. Provides support for grant receivable maintenance. Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 4 to 6 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of related education and experience required.
