As an Operations Financial Analyst, you are responsible for accounting support across the assigned business(es) within the Michels Family of Companies. You are responsible for compiling, analyzing, and presenting monthly financial results while evaluating performance against key targets and providing insights that explain underlying drivers to support executive decision‑making. This role also acts as a financial steward for Michels by ensuring strong financial management practices, processes, and controls are consistently executed.

You will support the financial planning, analysis, and reporting of external facing as well as cost-based businesses within the Michels Pacific Energy group.

The anticipated salary range is $82,000 to $106,750. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities
  • Provide accounting support across assigned Michels business units; compile, analyze, and present monthly financial results; evaluate performance against key targets and explain underlying drivers to support executive decision‑making.
  • Act as a financial steward with strong financial management practices, processes, and controls.
  • Support financial planning, analysis, and reporting for external facing and cost-based businesses within the Michels Pacific Energy group.
  • Facilitate recurring system processes around external-facing jobs; execute month-end close activities; support annual planning and quarterly forecasting processes.
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of financial data and reporting; assist with consolidation and reporting (preferred, not required).
  • Maintain a valid driver license and an acceptable driving record as required by the role.
What it takes
  • Bachelor’s Degree with preference to Finance or Accounting, and 2-5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Excel).
  • Experience with ERP & financial reporting tools (Power BI).
  • Experience in consolidation and reporting (preferred, not required).
  • Ability to facilitate recurring system processes around external-facing jobs.
  • Strong general accounting skills including month-end close activities, annual planning, and quarterly forecasting.
  • A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.
