Highly Reputable CPA firm in the Bay Area urgently seeks a Tax Manager.

Open to Hybrid or Remote depending on experience.

Salary: $85,000 - $160,000 per year.

• Demonstrate an understanding of complex tax concepts and effectively apply tax knowledge to client situations.
• Perform a detailed review of the team’s work to ensure quality, thoroughness and completion of assignment tasks within agreed time frames.
• Project manage one or more client assignments simultaneously, ensuring overall success of each project.
• Build and nurture strong working relationships with client management and peer client levels.
• Work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks.
• Successfully direct and maintain a motivated and empowered work team.
• Thoroughly and accurately analyze information; initiate development of recommendations and implementation of plans; make informed decisions in complex and judgmental areas.
• Participate in training and developing staff and building strong client service teams.

• A Bachelor’s degree, preferably with an emphasis in Accounting, Finance or a related field (an advanced degree in tax or law is highly desirable).
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant tax experience (Big firm experience preferred).
• CPA preferred. If not a CPA, must meet the educational requirements to sit for the CPA exam and be actively working towards passing all four parts of the Uniform Certified Public Accountant Examination.
