Financial Analyst Intern

Baynovation is hiring a Financial Analyst Intern to join our team in San Jose, CA.

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Statistics or a related field
• Experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis activities
• Experience or strong familiarity with creating complex financial assessments, such as financial models, rolling forecasts, and operating/cashflow budgets
• Developed and/or implemented new financial reports, dashboards, processes, or tools based on historical data, market trends, and business needs
• Experience with and ability to learn and manage various financial systems
• Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather and synthesize operational and financial information

• Provide in-depth financial analysis of investments to drive insights on trends, return on investment projects, and opportunities to optimize costs leading to better decision making
• Forecast operating and capital expenditures, variance analysis against actuals
• Own financial data and reports to ensure timely execution of accurate results in support of the Company’s monthly and quarter-end close processes
• Develop forecasting models for various ad-hoc investment projects and to build more predictability into actual spend levels
• Partner with Engineering and Finance leads to bridge engineering projects and initiatives to financial goals and performance
• Build thoughtful and concise executive communication for weekly, monthly and quarterly management reporting packages
