Actuarial Analyst

Our Client, a Global Financial Services Firm, is seeking an Actuarial Analyst in their San Jose, California location.

• Conduct data entry and analysis of financial and demographic information to assess risk and support decision-making
• Assist in actuarial projects and contribute to broader team initiatives
• Gain exposure to actuarial modeling techniques and support model development efforts
• Support actuarial valuations for pension plans
• Perform actuarial calculations related to pension benefit accrals and contributions
• Assist in the preparation of government filings and compliance reporting
• Contribute to a variety of actuarial projects and ad hoc assignments
• Work independently on assigned tasks while meeting all delivery deadlines
• Collaborate with team members to share insights and support collective learning
• Operate standard office equipment and utilize required software applications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a technical field such as Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Economics
• Minimum of 1 year of actuarial experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Power Point
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to perform complex computations
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a hybrid or virtual team
• Proactive mindset with a strong focus on client service
• Ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and processes
