The Billing, Settlement & Dispute Specialist II supports global messaging revenue operations across Tier 1 and Tier 2 carrier ecosystems by ensuring billing accuracy, executing settlement processes, and managing dispute resolution across carrier, partner, and enterprise customer channels. This role supports revenue assurance, traffic monetization, and financial compliance across global messaging platforms and interconnect partners.
Some of What You'll DoScope of the Role:
- This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports
- Validate high-volume messaging usage, rating, and billing outputs across SMS, MMS, A2P, and P2P traffic streams
- Support billing and settlement operations across CPaaS platforms, messaging hubs, and global carrier interconnects
- Perform intercarrier and wholesale messaging settlement reconciliation and variance analysis
- Manage end-to-end dispute lifecycle including investigation, root cause analysis, documentation, and resolution with global carrier partners
- Review carrier contracts, rate decks, routing tables, and pricing structures to ensure billing and settlement accuracy
- Support messaging traffic monetization controls and identify revenue leakage risks
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, and audit deliverables
- Monitor and support performance against SLA and KPI metrics tied to billing accuracy and dispute resolution timelines
- Partner cross-functionally with global internal teams across Engineering, Operations, Finance, Product, Commercial, and Carrier Relations to support billing, settlement, and dispute operations across a 24x7 global messaging environment
- Ensure adherence to SOX controls, audit requirements, and regulatory compliance standards
Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Accounting, Business, Telecommunications, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in billing and dispute resolution
- Experience in telecom billing, settlements, disputes, revenue assurance, or messaging financial operations
- Strong data analysis and reporting skills (Excel, SQL, or telecom billing / financial systems)
- Flexibility to support global billing cycles, carrier settlement windows, and submission deadlines
- Ability to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and holidays, to support billing submissions and critical processing periods
- Messaging ecosystem experience across SMS, MMS, A2P, P2P, CPaaS, or wholesale messaging
- Experience supporting messaging gateways, messaging hubs, or carrier interconnect platforms
- Intercarrier billing, or wholesale settlement experience
- Experience working in high-volume, global telecom or messaging transaction environments
- Experience supporting revenue assurance, financial controls, or audit readiness initiatives
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and issue resolution capability
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, global operations environment
