Vice President, Finance – Semiconductor(Chip)
Location: San Jose, CA (On-site)

About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Vice President of Finance – Semiconductor to lead the financial strategy of a rapidly growing, venture-backed semiconductor company. This executive will partner closely with the CEO and leadership team to drive capital raising, investor relations, strategic FP&A, manufacturing finance, and operational scaling as the company advances toward its next stage of growth and pre-IPO readiness.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Series D fundraising
, capital allocation, and pre-IPO financial planning. - Manage investor relations, board reporting, cap table management, and cash runway forecasting.
- Develop long-range financial plans, strategic FP&A models, and cash flow forecasts.
- Build and optimize manufacturing finance processes, including:
- Wafer costing
- Standard costing
- Yield variance analysis
- Inventory valuation
- Oversee financial operations with semiconductor foundries, OSAT partners, EDA vendors, and global supply chain partners.
- Drive ERP implementation or optimization (Net Suite, SAP, or similar manufacturing ERP systems).
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP, revenue recognition, internal controls, audits, and financial reporting.
- Lead global tax planning, transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, customs, and tariff strategies.
- Partner with executive leadership on strategic initiatives, M&A opportunities, and corporate growth.
- 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within semiconductor, fabless semiconductor, semiconductor manufacturing, or high-tech advanced manufacturing
. - Proven experience with venture-backed companies, Series C/D funding, IPO readiness, debt financing, or M&A.
- Strong expertise in:
- FP&A
- Manufacturing finance
- Cost accounting
- Inventory accounting
- US GAAP
- Revenue recognition
- Experience supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations, foundries, OSATs, or complex global supply chains.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems such as Net Suite or SAP
. - Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- MBA and/or CPA preferred.
- Must be located in or willing to commute to San Jose, CA
.
