Key Responsibilities:

• Spearhead the streamlining and automation of finance reporting workflows, replacing manual legacy processes.
• Revamp the existing Board report by reducing unnecessary pages, integrating narrative storytelling, and shifting from static data tables.
• Provide dedicated support for the upcoming budgeting cycle, ensuring accuracy and strategic insight.
• Engage in enterprise and product profitability projects, helping the organization catch up with best practices.
• Conduct tedious, detailed tasks related to month-end close and financial data analysis.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in modernizing and automating finance reporting and workflows.
• Strong proficiency with financial reporting tools and automation platforms.
• Hands-on experience with month-end closing processes.
• Ability to handle detailed, repetitive tasks with accuracy.
• Excellent communication skills to craft narrative storytelling within reports.

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Background in financial institutions or banking.
• Familiarity with Profit Star or similar profitability analysis tools.
• Prior experience in project management or process improvement initiatives.

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or related roles within financial services.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to start fully on-site in San Jose, with a flexible transition to hybrid work over time.
• Willingness to engage in detailed, manual tasks as part of continuous process improvement.
• Experience working with senior leadership, including finance executives like VP of Finance and CFO, is advantageous.
• This role is critical in a project-based environment with potential for longer-term engagement.
