Position DutiesThe Energy Department is seeking to fill one (1) full-time Power Resources Specialist I/II position to support the Risk Management and Contracts Administration Division. This position is part of an exciting, fast-paced team responsible for mitigating risks and optimizing performance of a power portfolio comprised of hundreds of Megawatts of renewable energy projects.
The selected candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Manage the administration of Power Purchase Agreements (“PPAs”), including monitoring performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review, understand, and interpret PPAs; manage oversight and validation of settlement statements and invoices to ensure PPAs are managed and settled timely, accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with contracted terms.
- Oversee and manage environmental compliance frameworks, including portfolio position forecasting, risk management, reporting, and regulatory filings.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders during contract negotiation, serving as an SME to advise on provisions related to settlements, and environmental portfolio management.
- Interpret, analyze, communicate, and resolve issues that arise during settlements validation and support the dispute resolution process.
