Hourly Wage Estimate: $37.01 - $43.60 / hour

Under minimal supervision, and /or according to detailed instructions, policies and procedures, performs the various tasks required to accurately and efficiently schedule all Labor and Delivery patients for follow-up appointments and any scheduled procedure they would need. Accurately assembles and gathers all records for patient’s charts. Assists with registering all patients into Meditech and CPN. Greets and receives visitors, physicians and hospital employees, and refers same to appropriate staff members or departments.

Operates a multiline telephone console, takes and relays messages, and answers patient call bells. Performs clerical duties including filing, sorting mail, entering patient charges, faxing and photocopying. • High school diploma, GED equivalent, or higher level of completed education from an accredited institution preferred.
• BCLS certification required.
• Knowledge of accurate spelling, writing skills, arithmetic and correct English grammar.
• General typing skills, knowledge of computers for word processing and ability to use a calculator.
• Medical terminology and/or experience in perinatal setting preferred.
• Prefer one-year experience in healthcare setting, Labor & Delivery preferred.
