Travel Physical Therapist - Home Health

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with home health experience for a travel contract covering the Sacramento, Modesto, and Stockton, CA regions.

Job Details

• Home health setting serving geriatric patients with a focus on wound care and general home health needs,

• Coverage territory will be discussed during the interview; candidates may be asked to cover surrounding counties as well,

• Target caseload is a minimum of 23-24 visits per week,

• Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM (5x8-hour shifts); no weekends required,

• On-call is not required, though it may occasionally be offered at the clinician's discretion,

• Charting system is Kinnser/Well Sky; all charting must be completed on-site using a provided tablet and cannot be taken home,

• Mileage is reimbursed at the IRS standard rate from the first patient visit to the last patient visit of the day (commute to/from home is excluded),

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of home health experience required; minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience required,

• Current, valid state PT license required at the time of submission - pending licenses are not accepted; license required if applicable,

• Current BLS certification required,

• No hits or restrictions on license,

• Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field-based environment,

• Ability to complete thorough and timely documentation using Kinnser/Well Sky,

Additional Information

• Positions available in the Sacramento, Modesto, and Stockton, CA regions (1-2 PTs per region),

• Contract length is 4-6 months; less experienced clinicians are required to commit to a 6-month contract (non-negotiable),

• Local candidates are accepted; candidates living within 50 miles of the facility are considered local,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• COVID-19 vaccination is required; religious declinations are accepted. Flu vaccination declination is accepted with documentation,

• All scrub colors are acceptable; closed-toe shoes are required,

• Free residential parking is available,

• All time-off requests must be submitted at the time of application; no additional RTO requests will be accepted after an offer is extended,

• Compliance onboarding may take 2-3 weeks; all required documents must be in place before the clinician can begin seeing patients,

• Hiring process includes a phone interview conducted by the facility's hiring team,
