Human Resources Manager

The Human Resources Manager will lead core HR functions, including employee relations, policy implementation, recruiting and retention of business professionals, and ensuring compliance with employment laws while supporting firm culture and strategic initiatives.

• Act as primary HR advisor to firm leadership and guide strategic HR initiatives
• Develop and implement HR policies aligned with firm objectives
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and California employment laws
• Oversee full‑cycle benefits administration, including healthcare plans, HSAs, open enrollment, and vendor management
• Manage employee relations matters, leaves of absence (FMLA, CFRA, ADA), and performance improvement processes
• Lead recruiting and onboarding for business professionals and attorneys, while supporting performance reviews and workforce planning

• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, law firm experience required
• Strong working knowledge of California employment law
• Hands‑on experience with benefits, leave administration, and full‑cycle recruiting
• Proactive, solutions‑driven leadership style with staff management experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM‑CP/SCP certification and Paylocity experience a plus
