Data Center Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Data Center Support Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Rate: $30/hour

Contract Duration: 3–18 Months

Shift Availability:
All A‑Side Roles

• A Side:
  Sunday–Tuesday + every other Wednesday
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM (2 openings)
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (1 opening)

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment following detailed instructions and safety protocols.
• Conduct post‑execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling according to standards.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing necessary repairs or replacements.
• Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, with minimal supervision.
• Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond effectively to program error messages.

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components supported by 1+ year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
• Experience with hardware break‑fix responsibilities, ideally in a data center environment.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Flexibility to work non‑standard business hours, including weekends and holidays.
