Job DescriptionA senior front-end engineer with strong Typescript, CSS, and build-system expertise who can independently build, debug, automate, and validate complex client-side systems.
Programming Language & Module Systems- Strong proficiency in Typescript for large-scale production front-end systems
- Deep understanding of JavaScript runtime behavior (event loop, async execution, memory)
- Clear understanding of JavaScript module systems
, including:- ES Module (ESM): import/export, tree-shaking, bundler behavior
- CommonJS (CJS): require, module resolution, interoperability with ESM
- Ability to debug issues caused by mixed module systems in real-world build pipelines
- Working knowledge of Node.js for tooling, scripting, and automation
- Familiarity with Python for build scripts or automation tasks
- Hands-on experience building complex UIs using React and/or Web Components
- Ability to design reusable UI components with clear ownership and lifecycle
- Experience managing complex client-side state and event flows
- Strong understanding of client-side performance trade-offs and rendering behavior
- Solid understanding of CSS fundamentals, including:
- Box model, layout (Flexbox, Grid)
- Cascade, specificity, inheritance
- Strong familiarity with Node.js-based build pipelines
- Hands-on experience instrumenting front-end applications with analytics, logging, and telemetry
- Ability to validate and ensure accurate client-side logs, metrics, and events are emitted to centralized analytics systems
- Experience querying and analyzing telemetry in tools such as Splunk to assess feature health and application performance
- Ability to use analytics and logs to troubleshoot production issues and identify regressions or anomalies
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins
- Working knowledge of server-side development to support and integrate with front-end systems
- Experience consuming and debugging RESTful and/or Graph
QL APIs - Understanding of request/response life cycles, data serialization, and error handling
- Familiarity with authentication and authorization concepts
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across client-server boundaries
- Experience collaborating with back-end engineers on API contracts and system design
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $139,000 -- $257,550 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.
In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550.
