IT Project Manager, Systems Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead Fiber, Circuit, and Colocation leasing programs in support of gFiber network expansion and operations. This role partners closely with Leasing, Colocation, Network Engineering, Legal, Finance, and external telecom vendors to ensure scalable, cost-effective, and timely delivery of network infrastructure.
This is a senior, externally-facing role requiring strong ownership of vendor relationships, the ability to lead complex negotiations and operational calls, and the judgment to represent gFiber in high-impact discussions with telecom providers, data center operators, and colocation partners. We are looking to pay from $58-60hr.
Skills and RequirementsKey Responsibilities
- Looking for candidates with at least 5+yrs of experience within a TPM role
Own end-to-end Fiber, Circuit, and Colocation leasing programs, from requirements definition through execution and operational handoff.
Drive program plans, milestones, dependencies, risks, and mitigation strategies across multiple parallel work streams.
Ensure alignment between network build timelines, leasing availability, and operational readiness.
Vendor & Partner ManagementServe as the primary point of contact for external vendors, including fiber providers, circuit carriers, and colocation/data center partners.
Lead vendor calls and negotiations, manage escalations, and hold partners accountable to SLAs, delivery timelines, and commercial terms.
Build and maintain long‑term, strategic vendor relationships that support gFiber’s growth and cost objectives.
Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with internal Leasing and Colocation Telecom teams, Network Engineering, Construction, Legal, Finance, and Procurement.
Translate technical and operational requirements into clear leasing and vendor deliverables.
Align stakeholders on scope, priorities, risks, and tradeoffs in a fast‑paced environment a lot of Dark Fiber experience.
