Associate Product Manager - Safety Product; San Jose

About the Team

The Safety Product (or Platform Responsibility) team is at the forefront of building and optimizing content safety systems. With a focus on optimizing and advancing content safety, we leverage advanced large language models to enhance review efficiency, risk control, and user trust. Working closely with business and technical stakeholders, we deliver scalable solutions that keep pace with rapid global growth.

• Support the definition and tracking of product success metrics that reflect user trust and platform integrity goals.
• Participate in product discovery, requirement definition, testing, launch, and iteration under the guidance of senior PMs.
• Assist in analyzing data, conducting research, and synthesizing insights to help prioritize product initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Data Science, Policy, Operations, and Design teams to deliver product improvements.
• Contribute to the development of AI-powered moderation and detection systems, gaining exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Identify user pain points, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities in misinformation and integrity domains.
• Gradually take increasing ownership of scoped product areas as you grow in the role.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and structured problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated interest in Product Management, Trust & Safety, AI/ML, or platform governance (through internships, projects, research, or competitions).
• Data‑driven mindset; comfortable working with metrics and basic data analysis tools.
• Clear and effective communication skills in cross‑functional settings.

• Internship or project experience in Product Management, AI/ML, or data‑related roles.
• Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts, especially LLMs or content moderation systems.
• Interest in misinformation, platform integrity, or policy‑driven systems.
• Experience working in collaborative or cross‑functional team environments.
