Responsibilities

Own trust & safety strategy and product solutions for Tik Tok’s core business scenarios, driving risk reduction and safety effectiveness across global markets.

Build end-to-end risk discovery and mitigation mechanisms by leveraging data insights, user reports, operational feedback, and model-driven signals to identify emerging risks and safety gaps.

Define and establish safety metrics, evaluation frameworks, and monitoring systems; continuously optimize risk mitigation effectiveness through data-driven decision making.

Design and launch AI-powered safety solutions by incorporating Large Language Models (LLMs), machine learning capabilities, and automated risk detection systems into trust & safety workflows.

Drive platform capability building by transforming safety knowledge and operational best practices into reusable products, rule engines, tooling systems, and scalable platform capabilities.

Lead complex cross-functional initiatives across Product, Engineering, Algorithm, Data Science, Operations, and Policy teams to deliver scalable trust & safety solutions.

Balance safety, compliance, user experience, and business objectives when designing risk management strategies and product mechanisms.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Proven experience in Product Management, Trust & Safety, Content Integrity, Risk Control, Platform Safety, or related domains.

Strong understanding of the end-to-end safety lifecycle, including risk identification, problem definition, measurement, strategy development, and implementation.

Strong analytical thinking and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience defining KPIs and safety success metrics.

Excellent cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management skills.

Fluency in written and spoken Chinese is needed to manage stakeholders in China market.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience applying Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, Machine Learning, or recommendation systems to risk detection, content understanding, or safety scenarios.

Experience building safety platforms, rule engines, workflow systems, or internal tooling products.

Familiarity with content moderation, integrity, abuse prevention, online safety, or Trust & Safety domains.

Experience leading large-scale cross-functional projects in fast-paced technology environments.

Job Information

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $185,600 - $396,000 annually.

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
