Director Of Information Technology
The Director of Information Technology's primary responsibility is to plan, develop, organize, coordinate and manage the District's Local Area Network (LAN)/ Wide Area Network (WAN) and its Management Information Systems as it relates to the District's Strategic Plan. An interest in Educational Technology is preferred.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, an appropriate, valid California Driver's License. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field required. 3 years of Computer Science/Information Systems experience at a managerial level. Three (3) CURRENT letters of recommendation, resume, letter of introduction-include relevant, practical experience in education in related field. Knowledge of:
Supervisory and management techniques and procedures. Demonstrated experience with Google Workspace (Cloud Identity), Microsoft Windows operating systems, and Device Management Experience with student information systems and data collection and reporting processes. Ability to:
Supervise, direct and evaluate the work of others. Maintain accurate and timely records. Organize and schedule jobs in a timely manner; assess job priorities; order supplies properly and accurately. Evaluate the condition of District cyber security and recommend actions as needed. Monitor job progress; inspect completed jobs for quality of work. Provide training to assigned staff. Ability to maintain and balance a yearly budget.
Supervision Received and Exercised General direction is provided by the Chief Business Officer. Assignments include direct and indirect supervision of classified IT personnel.
