A senior, consulting‑minded content operations leader – not a hands‑on technical writer. The ideal candidate has spent 7+ years in technical documentation, content operations, or knowledge management and has personally led a documentation transformation, ideally introducing AI/LLM‑assisted authoring and content workflows. They combine deep craft in information architecture, taxonomy, metadata, content lifecycle, governance with the soft skills to assess a current state, design a future‑state operating model, and drive change across Product, Engineering, Support, and Technical Writing.

Comfortable working onsite from a Proofpoint US office and ideally already in or near the Pacific/Mountain time zone. Cybersecurity or enterprise‑SaaS background is a strong differentiator.

• Current or recent titles:
  Content Strategist, Content Operations Lead/Manager, Documentation Manager, Knowledge Management Lead, Information Architect, Doc Ops Lead, or Content Transformation Consultant.
• Has led at least one end‑to‑end documentation or content‑ops modernization program.
• Demonstrable use of AI/GenAI in content workflows (drafting, summarization, reuse, content QA).
• Tooling depth in at least one of:
  Confluence, Mad Cap Flare, SharePoint, Document
  360 (or comparable CCMS/help‑authoring/KM platform).
• Strong stakeholder management and change leadership; able to operate as a trusted advisor.
• Background in cybersecurity, enterprise SaaS, or otherwise highly technical products preferred.
