QA Engineer
Location:
San Jose, CA
Type of Hire: CWR
Primary responsibilities:
- Creation and review of test strategies, test designs, test cases and test automation suites
- Reviews of chalk talks and functional specifications created by the development team to understand product functionality
- Review user documentation to ensure it clearly documents product functionality
- Work closely with a multi-site team of developers and testers to coordinate and execute test activities
- Work closely with the development, SQA, and the support team to ensure a high-quality product
- Establish cross-functional relationships to improve the testability of products
- Automation expertise using Protractor
Requirements (must haves):
- Bachelor of Engineering with a minimum of 6 years of hands-on test experience or Master's with 4 years of experience
- Test experience with enterprise systems in Windows and Linux environments
- Strong knowledge of various types of testing such as functional, negative, boundary, performance, scale, longevity testing, etc.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Client/Server Java and HTML/Web Applications
- UI automation experience with Protractor, Selenium
- Test automation experience with REST using Python/Java/Perl etc
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly desired:
- Experience of working in Agile development-testing environments
- Testing experience with multi-node, containerized, rich internet applications
- Ability to understand customer problems and work to improve these issues
- Proven track record of understanding ambiguous problems and driving practical solutions
- Strong experience operating in Agile/Scrum, Dev Ops, or other results-driven SDLCs
- Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
