Security Posture Management Specialist - Global Security Organization

Responsibilities

The mission of Tik Tok's Global Security Organization is to build and earn trust by reducing risk and securing our businesses and products. Also known as "GSO", this team is the foundation of our efforts to keep Tik Tok safe, secure, and operating at scale for over 1 billion people around the world. We work to ensure that the Tik Tok platform is safe and secure, that our users' experience and their data remains safe from external or internal threats, and that we comply with global regulations wherever Tik Tok operates.

In whatever ways users interact with us — whether they're watching videos on their For You page, interacting with a Live video, or buying products on Tik Tok Shop — GSO protects their data and privacy, so they can have a secure and trustworthy experience.

We are seeking a Posture Management Specialist to own and continuously improve our organization's security posture across system infrastructure, cloud, network, endpoint, office environment, identity, and data domains. This is an individual contributor role that bridges deep technical expertise with strategic leadership, ensuring our platforms serving billions of users maintain a world-class defense-in-depth posture.

You will be responsible for defining the security posture management strategy, driving automated remediation, and translating complex technical risks into actionable business insights for executive leadership.

• Lead cross-functional security initiatives and co-design technical solutions to reduce attack surface and improve overall security posture.
• Serve as the main POC for global Security Posture Management, coordinating across Security, Engineering, Risk & Compliance, Legal, business teams, and China/non-China stakeholders.
• Drive vulnerability management and patching by assessing and prioritizing vulnerabilities and insecure configurations, coordinating patch deployment, and monitoring remediation progress.
• Serve as the main POC for security posture governance related to audits, compliance assessments such as ISO
  27001/SOC2 and compliance deviation monitoring.
• Lead digital forensic investigations and security incident response across global regions, including issue identification, root-cause analysis, remediation planning, and coordination of short- and long-term resolution.
• Design, build, and enhance automated security processes and tools for posture management, including ownership mapping, severity tuning, and auto-remediation across security domains.
• Conduct security posture management and risk assessments across global environments, including identifying vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and control gaps, tracking remediation, and reporting risk trends and posture metrics to senior leadership.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Deep understanding of the vulnerability management lifecycle (identification, prioritization, remediation)
• Ability to present technical solutions and ROI to both technical and executive audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud-centric cybersecurity, with at least 3+ years focused on security posture management, vulnerability management, or threat management
• Experience in high-scale social media or consumer technology companies
• Familiarity with identity lifecycle management and data lifecycle management (DSPM)
• CI/CD pipeline security integration experience
• Background in offensive security (Red Teaming, Pentesting)
