Key Responsibilities IT Operations & Infrastructure
- Manage and maintain network, servers, systems, and core IT infrastructure.
- Oversee daily IT operations, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and available to staff.
- Administer and maintain Windows Server environments, Active Directory services, and VMware virtual infrastructure.
- Maintain and support Google Workspace administration, including user management, security policies, and collaboration tools.
- Monitor system health, performance, and uptime across all locations.
- Maintain IT documentation including network diagrams, system configurations, procedures, and asset inventories.
- Implement and enforce IT policies, cybersecurity practices, and access control standards.
- Provide Tier 1–3 helpdesk support for internal employees and approved external users.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues across offices and job sites.
- Support employees with workstations, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and applications.
- Manage onboarding and offboarding including account provisioning, device setup, and access management.
- Maintain a helpdesk ticketing system and ensure timely resolution of support requests.
- Manage and support Cisco switching infrastructure, firewalls, and networking hardware.
- Maintain and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, VPN access, and Wi‑Fi networks across offices and job sites.
- Perform system updates, patch management, and security maintenance.
- Manage backup systems, disaster recovery procedures, and system monitoring tools.
- Support and maintain enterprise applications including:
- Architecture Software and BIM Collaborate Pro
- Cloud SaaS Solutions & Applications
- Google Workspace collaboration tools
- VMWare Systems and Applications
- Additional internal business, real estate, and construction management systems such as Procore, Yardi, Autodesk
- Work with departments to troubleshoot software issues and improve system usage.
- Procure, deploy, and maintain IT hardware including laptops, desktops, servers, networking equipment, and mobile devices.
- Maintain hardware inventory, lifecycle management, and replacement planning.
- Configure and deploy systems using standardized imaging and deployment processes.
- Lead the planning, setup, and deployment of IT infrastructure at construction job sites.
- Coordinate with internet service providers (ISPs) to establish connectivity for new project locations.
- Manage job site network setup including routers, switching, Wi‑Fi, and communications systems.
- Oversee job site IT projects from initial planning through project completion, ensuring reliable connectivity and technology support.
- Provide onsite troubleshooting and support for field teams and project staff.
- Coordinate with IT vendors, telecom providers, and ISPs for procurement, troubleshooting, and service management.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure services meet company requirements.
- 5–7+ years of experience in network administration, systems administration, or IT infrastructure support.
- Experience managing Windows Server environments and Active Directory services.
- Experience with VMware virtualization platforms.
- Hands‑on experience with Cisco switching and enterprise network infrastructure.
- Experience administering Google Workspace environments.
- Experience providing helpdesk support and direct user support in a multi‑office environment.
- Ability to troubleshoot hardware, networking, and systems issues across multiple locations.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between offices and job sites across the Bay Area.
- Experience supporting construction, engineering, architecture, or real estate organizations.
- Experience supporting Yardi or other real estate/property management systems.
- Familiarity with network security, endpoint protection, and backup solutions.
- Experience deploying temporary or field office networks for construction sites.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft, VMware, or Cisco certifications.
- Full‑time onsite role based primarily in San Jose, California.
- Regular travel to Santa Cruz office and construction job sites throughout the Bay Area.
- Combination of office‑based support, infrastructure management, and field deployments.
Occasional after-hours maintenance or emergency support may be required. Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000
