We are seeking a customer-facing robotics engineer to provide technical leadership throughout the pre-sales and deployment process. This individual will support regional sales professionals and channel partners by designing and delivering demonstrations, proof-of-concept programs, technical evaluations, installations, and training.
This is a hands-on, position that serves as the technical bridge between customers, sales teams, partners, product leaders, and engineering. You will translate customer requirements into practical robotics applications and ensure that proposed solutions can be demonstrated, deployed, operated, and supported successfully.
What You’ll Do:
- Partner with regional account managers to understand customer requirements and develop technically sound robotics solutions.
- Plan and deliver product demonstrations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Conduct customer-site assessments and evaluate connectivity, operating conditions, workflows, safety considerations, and deployment readiness.
- Install, configure, connect, test, and demonstrate robotic systems at customer locations.
- Support scenario programming and adapt product capabilities to specific customer applications.
- Lead acceptance testing and confirm that deployments satisfy agreed technical and operational requirements.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, firmware, connectivity, configuration, and operating issues.
- Provide customer training for operators, teachers, technical teams, and other users.
- Explain complex robotics concepts in clear, practical language to customers with varying levels of technical knowledge.
- Convert feedback from demonstrations and field deployments into structured recommendations for product and engineering teams.
- Maintain the regional demonstration fleet, including equipment inventory, condition, firmware, accessories, shipping, and readiness.
- Support demonstrations, exhibitions, conferences, customer events, and other field activities.
- Train dealers, resellers, and systems integrators on products, demonstrations, technical positioning, and initial deployments.
- Coach channel partners through their first customer demonstrations and implementations.
- Travel frequently throughout territory to support customer and partner engagements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in field applications engineering, pre-sales engineering, robotics deployment, automation integration, or a related customer-facing technical role.
- Hands-on ability to install, configure, connect, test, troubleshoot, and demonstrate robotic or automated systems.
- Working knowledge of hardware, software, firmware, networking, sensors, connectivity, and system integration.
