We are the Monetization Data Foundation team, sitting within Tik Tok’s Global Monetization Product & Technology (GMPT) organization. We empower business and product teams with scalable data infrastructure, tools, and insights to drive revenue growth and operational efficiency.
Our mission is to build a robust, data-driven foundation that enables smarter decision-making across Tik Tok’s global monetization ecosystem. By collaborating closely with engineering, analytics, and business teams, we deliver innovative solutions that turn raw data into actionable intelligence.
Project InternWe are seeking a Data Product Manager Project Intern to support the development and scaling of data-driven products within Tik Tok’s Monetization organization. This role involves defining the vision, strategy, and execution of data products that empower business teams.
Responsibilities- Participate in building the data foundation and standardization system for international business.
- Assist in building global data infrastructure and promote large‑scale implementation of operational processes, data definitions, and indicator systems.
- Collaborate with sales, strategy, operations, product, and engineering teams to resolve business problems and data requirements.
- Provide implementable analytical research and product solutions to support commercialization strategies and improve operational efficiency.
- Participate in automation and productization to improve global business efficiency.
- Assist in building a basic governance system for data field standards, indicator definition alignment, and permissions.
- Precipitate methodologies and support cross‑regional training with reusable methods from various operational analyses and projects.
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, priority to majors such as Data Science, Statistics, or Business Analysis.
- Experience using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker Studio).
- Able to commit to a full‑time, 24‑week (6 month) internship, ideally longer.
- Interest in data products, indicator system construction, and data platform tools.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Available to intern at least four days per week for at least six months.
- Relevant internship experience in data products, data analysis, or data operations in technology companies.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with Python or R.
- Hourly rate: $35–$55.
- Benefits may include health insurance, life insurance, wellbeing benefits, 10 paid holidays, paid sick time, and possibly a housing allowance for interns not working fully remotely.
