Overview
Our company is migrating away from SAP systems to a 100% Oracle EPM system. We have chosen to implement all but one of the EPM modules available: FCCS, ePBCS, ARCS, PCMCS, EDMCS, and Narrative reporting. We are seeking an EPM Architect to join our San Jose team. This role requires versatility as a Swiss Army knife, communicating with business finance stakeholders as well as Technical Architects.
You will be responsible for all aspects of building the system and driving user adoption. Initially you will stand up a minimum viable product which will be improved over time. Once the EPM system is stood up, you will have the chance to be involved in the ERP transformation as well.
- Design forward-looking plans and execution strategies that align with organizational priorities and long-term vision.
- Spearhead full lifecycle Oracle EPM projects—from discovery and planning through hands-on build and rollout.
- Manage day-to-day EPM platform operations, ensuring high system performance, stability, and timely application maintenance, including patching.
- Support key finance activities by assisting users, resolving technical issues, and delivering targeted training to maintain a high level of user satisfaction.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical and process documentation, such as operational guides, architecture diagrams, and workflows.
- Work closely with business partners to capture needs, shape solution designs, and streamline planning, reporting, and close processes.
- Keep up to date with the latest EPM tools, trends, and enhancements to drive ongoing platform evolution and optimization.
- Uncover and act on improvement areas by building proof-of-concept solutions to increase efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Establish and monitor success metrics to assess platform performance, system usage, and overall user engagement.
- Guide and coach junior team members, encouraging quality standards and effective practices in Oracle EPM delivery.
- Bachelor’s Degree with 9+ years' experience
- Deep technical experience with implementations throughout all modules
- Strong communicator with a track record of effective collaboration across technical and business teams
- Solid understanding of financial planning processes like budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Experience connecting Oracle EPM with other systems for seamless data and metadata integration
